A NOTE FROM THE COMMITTEE

The Greenwich Township Historical Society obtained

two display cases from Exxon/Mobil, thanks to

   Bill Angelini.

During the past year we have been displaying

historic items, pictures, and other memorabilia

   from Gibbstown schools, businesses, etc.in

the cases located in the meeting room in the

   library.

Recently the library has obtained a display case,

located in the main library area, where we have

had different things of interest on display.

On May 10, 2007 the historical society participated

in the" Sylvia Earle Day" at Nehaunsey School. In

August we had a display of "Pictures of Gibbstown"

at the National Night Out, next to the Police

   Station.

On Feb.14, 2008, we will have an Open House at the

   library meeting room from 6-8pm.

WE have other ideas for 2008, but are always in

   need of suggestions.

We hope you will join us as we continue our quest

to preserve the history of Gibbstown.

If you have something to share or donate to the

Greenwich Township Historical Society , give us a

  call.

For more information call Sue Hickman at 423-4946,

  or Hank Ramer at 423-5137.
